Our foundation is currently being established. Meanwhile, we share our vision, our publications and the work we plan to develop. About the process

Six areas, mutually reinforcing programmes

Each area has a clearly defined purpose, initial outputs and working principles. Our programmes are being developed step by step alongside the foundation process.

Quality, Ethics & Standards

To develop clear, traceable reference frameworks that support trust in health tourism. Assessments relating to clinical quality are designed together with experts in each field.

First work topics

  • Patient communication
  • Information
  • Price transparency
  • Coordination
  • Accessibility
  • Staff competence
  • Continuity of care

Initial outputs

  • A statement of ethical principles
  • A self-assessment guide for institutions
  • A service-journey checklist
  • Thematic publications drawing on expert opinion
Assessment criteria are open; paid service relationships are kept separate from assessment results, and feedback processes are clearly defined.

International Cooperation

To build lasting working relationships between countries, institutions, universities and professionals. Rather than transplanting an approach that works in one country, we consider local needs and institutional capacity together.

Shared agenda

  • Health management
  • Education
  • Research
  • Health diplomacy
  • Knowledge-sharing

How we work

  • A verified stakeholder inventory and selection of priority countries
  • One concrete work topic for each priority country
  • For every partnership: purpose, owners, expected output, timing and monitoring
  • Joint training, working groups, reports or project outputs
Signing a protocol is not a success in itself; success is the concrete, traceable outcome that follows.

Congresses, Business Forums & Fairs

We design events as tools that bring together scientific debate, institutional cooperation and practical needs. Each format has its own purpose and audience.

Starting approach

  • Thematic round-table meetings
  • Online expert meetings
  • A short outcome note, owners and follow-up timeline after every meeting
We measure an event’s success not by attendance alone, but by the quality of its content and the outcomes that are followed up.

Education & Academy

We design training programmes around the different needs of health managers, international patient teams, physicians, nurses, facilitators and other professionals.

First training topics

  • The international patient journey
  • Service coordination
  • Ethical communication
  • Intercultural practice
  • Quality management
  • Evaluating health investments

Every programme states clearly

  • Target audience and learning outcomes
  • Trainer qualifications, duration and assessment method
  • The nature of the certificate: attendance and achievement certificates are clearly distinguished from professional licences
The scope of programmes grows step by step as their institutional standing and quality assurance develop.

Research, Data & Technology

We produce reliable knowledge that supports decision-making through country reports, thematic sector reviews, institutional research and shared data glossaries.

Core outputs

  • Country reports
  • Thematic reviews
  • Institutional research
  • Shared data glossary
  • Digital health

Our knowledge principles

  • We work with public, traceable sources
  • We publish source, date, definition and method notes
  • We do not directly compare indicators built on different definitions
We treat digital health and AI as tools — used only once their purpose, data needs, human oversight and expected benefit have been made clear.

Scholarships & Social Responsibility

We aim to widen educational opportunities and improve the quality of life of groups who need support — turning a broad vision into measurable, fundable programmes from the start.

Areas of support

  • Young people
  • Older people
  • People with disabilities
  • Orphans
  • Low-income families

First programme options

  • Educational support, scaled to available resources
  • A mentoring programme
  • A joint accessibility-focused project
Eligibility, selection criteria and the assessment process are open. The privacy of those we support always comes before communication.

The scope of health tourism

No single model fits everyone

Our scope rests on an approach that treats healthcare and quality of life together. Each dimension has its own needs and expertise.

DimensionOur focus
Medical tourismSafe patient journeys, institutional capability, coordination and service quality
Thermal health & rehabilitationA scientific approach, the right expertise and integrated services
Wellness & well-beingQuality of life, prevention and evidence-based communication
Later life & healthy ageingContinuity of care, independent living and social participation
Accessible health tourismAccess to services for people with disabilities and special needs
Education, technology & researchDeveloping people, producing knowledge and digital capability

Health tourism vs. travellers’ health

A planned trip to receive treatment is a different process from a traveller who needs care while abroad for another reason. In our training and publications, we treat each group’s information needs, payment structures and coordination in their own context.

Evaluation framework

We evaluate our programmes on four dimensions: access, cost, quality and sustainability. Wider access must not weaken quality; cost advantages must not come before trust; and international growth should also benefit the local health system.

Our role: producing knowledge, developing standards and strengthening cooperation. Clinical care and decisions remain the responsibility of the competent providers delivering it.

An invitation to collaborate

Let’s work together in one of these areas

Share your ideas for training, publications, research or international cooperation. Proposals are assessed in line with the platform’s aims and working priorities.
