Where learning and knowledge meet

The WHTP Academy & Data Hub is a structure we plan to develop to bring professional development, research and reliable knowledge-sharing under one roof. Through training programmes, expert meetings, thematic reports and country files, it aims to strengthen the knowledge base of health tourism.

An integrated model

Training feeds research; research feeds training

The Academy carries learning and professional development; the Data Hub carries research, comparative knowledge, reporting and institutional memory. Both run on the same content calendar and quality approach.

We identify training needs through research and feed research findings back into training and guidance — so every cycle leaves a stronger knowledge base than the last.

Clarity about certificates

Certificate of attendance

Confirms participation in a programme.

Certificate of achievement

Confirms that learning outcomes were achieved through assessment.

Professional licence

Issued only by bodies authorised to do so; our programmes make this distinction explicit.

For every programme, the audience, learning outcomes, trainer qualifications, duration, assessment method and type of certificate are published in advance.

DSTP Data Hub

Open-source, traceable knowledge

Our publication library, country files and event records on this website form the first, practical core of the Data Hub.

Thematic reports

Sector reviews with open sources and methods.

Country files

Comparable briefing notes for priority countries.

Indicator glossary

Consistent, comparable data built on shared definitions.

Comparative analysis

Context-aware analysis that supports decision-making.

Our approach to data

  • We work with public, traceable sources.
  • Every publication includes source, date, definition and method notes.
  • We do not directly compare indicators built on different definitions.
  • We keep update and correction logs open.
We do not collect personal patient data. No system that collects personal patient data will be set up at this stage. Should the need arise, data responsibilities, access limits, security and the necessary expert reviews will be designed as a separate project.
