We see health as humanity’s shared value
We approach medical tourism together with thermal health, well-being, rehabilitation, accessibility and healthy ageing. We aim to connect Türkiye’s experience in health with countries, institutions, universities and professionals through knowledge-sharing and joint work.
Our story
Born from a holistic view of health
Health is humanity’s shared value. A view that limits health to the treatment of illness leaves out much of the support people need throughout their lives. Well-being, care, rehabilitation, a safe environment, education and healthy ageing are all parts of the same whole. WHTP’s story begins with this holistic understanding.
When Türkiye’s experience in health meets international relations, it should involve not only service delivery but also knowledge-sharing, institutional development and joint problem-solving. Our platform aims to carry this approach, bringing countries and institutions closer together.
People are at the centre of our work; trust, ethics, quality and sustainability are at the core of our approach. We value education and research so that international cooperation creates lasting value. We aim to support young people’s development, disadvantaged groups and projects that improve quality of life.
Why WHTP?
Bringing different strengths together around shared goals
The internationalisation of healthcare brings not only patient mobility but also institutional management, education, scientific research, technology, investment and cross-border cooperation onto the agenda. Thinking about these together requires reliable knowledge and common ground where different stakeholders can work together.
The platform’s role is to bring hospitals, universities, public bodies, health professionals, tourism organisations and technology developers together around specific goals — and to help conversations turn into concrete outcomes.
What conversations turn into
- Training
- Reports
- Projects
- Research
- Social benefit
To produce knowledge across the many dimensions of health tourism, develop professional capability, create ethics- and quality-led reference frameworks, strengthen international cooperation and support programmes that improve quality of life.
A Global Force in Health
A vision that connects Türkiye’s expertise with the world
“A Global Force in Health” expresses our vision of strengthening Türkiye’s health expertise through qualified people, science, technology, quality and international solidarity.
Our core message defines three responsibilities: being human-centred means assessing our impact on quality of life; creating with trust requires scientific grounding, open processes and ethical consistency; and sharing with the world means mutual learning and joint work rather than one-way promotion.
Core values
The values that guide every decision
From choosing projects to our visual language, from partnerships to how we manage resources — every decision rests on these values.
Human dignity & quality of life
People — and the effect on their quality of life — are at the heart of everything we do.
Trust & ethics
Open processes, consistent decisions and commitment to ethical principles.
Scientific approach
Evidence-based knowledge, open sources and traceable methods.
Quality & continuous improvement
Measuring, learning and improving at every step.

Clear roles
Job descriptions, decision rights, approval flows and reporting duties are written down.
Conflicts of interest
Clear boundaries between commercial activity and institutional decisions; interests are made visible.
Independence
Sponsorship and training relationships never influence content, assessment or scholarship decisions.
Setting references
We propose policy, develop principles and create voluntary reference frameworks; licensing and inspection powers rest with public authorities.
Foundation process

Rather than a long list of projects, we are focusing first on three achievable outcomes: launching the institutional website, preparing the first thematic knowledge/training programme and setting up a concrete working agenda with a small number of stakeholders.

Let’s create shared value together.
We value meeting institutions and professionals who want to create shared value in health, education, research, technology and social benefit. Proposals are assessed in line with the platform’s aims and working priorities.
